This is my VX800 Project in Chronological order
Before - Jan 2011 - Paid $650 for this bike.
Mechanically sound but cosmetically ugly!
So I decided to dress her up a bit - started with a banging out some dents in tank and or course those I could not pound out I bondo'd. Then I added the Pink custom color I had whipped up at the paint shop. By the way this is my first attempt at painting.

After the pink was laid down I then wrapped her in bridal lace and laid down a light coat of Silver - kept it dry and once I had added a couple coats of Silver over the Pink I pulled the lace back to reveal a lovely lace effect. Old school paint!
Then I added my clear coat that really made the lace design pop.

Then the remainder of the transformation happened - with powder coat of exhaust to black - as well as my rims and forks.

She has served me well - in fact since I purchased her I have put over 5000 miles on her and ride her almost everyday (the luxury of living in Florida is biking year round)
Hope to see you on the streets!

  2. :) Thanks.
Next bike to restore is a CBR - currently Two Brothers Scheme but soon to be a new work of art so I can give this bike to our business partner Chris - she will love the design I am working on for her bike. Colors: Wine and Silver/Gold with Celtic undertones in the design.
Will blog that one all the way through!
